Lottery’s Community Fund
We would like to say a huge thank you to the Lottery’s Community Fund for helping to contribute towards our core running costs as well as supporting the continuation of the welfare benefits service during the Covid -19 pandemic. This has been an extremely challenging year, but particularly for disabled children, adults and their families.
Thanks to the grant we have been able to deliver key services to some of the most vulnerable in society, across Cumbria and Lancashire.
The Cumbria & Lancashire Asbestos Support Advice Group
The Cumbria & Lancashire Asbestos Support Advice Group is reopening its meetings, but for now, it will be online. The meetings provide both an opportunity of peer support and to find out what help and advice is available. Guest speakers include dieticians, complimentary therapy, cancer and palliative care.
Contact us for more details. Anyone living in Cumbria and Lancashire, who has an asbestos related condition, and their carers, are most welcome to the meetings. Alan Reid CEO, Disability First, says “this is a terrific opportunity to use technology to help sustain a critical care group, it’s one of our flagship support services and we want to maintain and grow the member numbers”. If you need more information about the group or support in setting up ZOOM please contact us at email@example.com 01253 472201/01253 472202.
