The Cumbria & Lancashire Asbestos Support Advice Group (CLASAG) is hosted by Disability First who are members of the nationally recognised Asbestos Victims Support Groups Forum UK, and work closely with Mesothelioma UK, a national specialist resource centre specifically for the asbestos-related cancer, mesothelioma, and CancerCare, a unique independent charity dedicated to helping families affected by cancer living in Lancashire and Cumbria.
What does the Support Group do?
These friendly sessions provide an opportunity to meet others who understand what you are going through and share experiences. Patients and carers can find out what help and advice is available to them. Guest speakers include dieticians, complimentary therapy, cancer and palliative care. All the sessions and refreshments are free of charge to everyone. Meeting times 1pm till 3pm and dates for 2020 include January 20th, February 17th, March 16th, April 20th, May 18th, June 15th, July 20th, August 17th, September 21st, October 19th, November 16th. Please note there is no December meeting. All sessions take place at Barrow & District Disability Association 71-77 School Street, Barrow in Furness Cumbria. LA14 1EJ.
